How to Blow Out Your Open House

Hosting open house events, where prospective students can get a firsthand look at your school’s campus, hear about its great programs, HOWEVER most schools completely drop the ball. Here’s our proven tactical ways that helped our clients crush Open House attendee list.

  1. Timeline: start these tactics 5 weeks before your event
  2. Eventbrite: Post your event on Eventbrite so you’ll be able to pick up free RSVPs with the organic traffic on there. Make sure you put in your location and tag it with the right details so it gets picked up by the Eventbrite algorithm. Also make sure you collect their phone number so you can follow up with a call whether they come or not. The best part is it’s FREE.
  3. Instagram: Create an event on your Facebook page and share with your Facebook and Instagram audience.
  4. Linkedin: Create an event on your Linkedin Page and share it with your followers.
  5. Email your newsletter list, always good practice to include events in newsletters anyways.
  6. Every week leading up to the event post reminders on social media and email.
  7. Send out a reminder 6 hours before the event.

Post your event on Eventbrite so you’ll be able to pick up free RSVPs with the organic traffic on there.

Pro Tip: make sure the website landing page for the Open House is informative, clean, and easy to sign up.
